Note: The Privacy Policy below applies to this site, slimechildaudio.com, and to all Slime Child Audio products. The End User License Agreement following it is a genericized version of the EULA that ships with paid Slime Child Audio products and is provided here for reference only. Please refer to the licensing information that is distributed with each product for more information on that product's specific licensing policy.

Privacy Policy

Slime Child Audio does not collect any personally-identifiable information from you without your full, informed consent. Period. This site does not use cookies or analytics, and uses only the minimum amount of Javascript required for basic functionality. Slime Child products do not collect any analytics or information about your usage or identity. We only collect information about you when you purchase a product (to send you updates), when you sign up for the newsletter (to send you emails), and when you contact support (so we can assist you). Feel free to email us at contact [at] slime child audio [dot] com at any time to request audit or removal of any information we've collected about you.

That being said, at times we use third-party services to provide some features. These third-parties may collect personally-identifiable information in ways we do not control. Any third-party or external services used by us will be clearly marked as such. Please refer to the relevant privacy policies of these such companies if you have questions about the data they collect.

We reserve the right to share the personal information we have collected with any additional third-party services we may contract in the future. You will be informed via email when this happens, and retain the right to request your information not be shared with any third-party entities.

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

End User License Agreement

1. General

This End User License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal and binding agreement between user ("You" or "Your"), and Coriander Pines, doing business as Slime Child Audio ("Slime Child" or "Us" or "Our"), for the use of any products sold or advertised on the Slime Child Audio site or though one of our authorized resellers or distributors, including itch.io and the VCV Library (the "Product").

You are required to comply with any End User Licensing Agreements bundled with our products in order to use them. Where in conflict, licensing agreements bundled with products take precedence over this document.

Slime Child reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of the Agreement, at any time. It is your responsibility to check the Agreement periodically for changes. Your continued use of the Product following the posting of changes will mean that you accept and agree to the changes.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using the Product on your computer, you declare yourself in agreement with this End User License Agreement. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not install the Product.

You may not use the Product if (a) you are prohibited by Law from receiving or using the Product, (b) you are not fully able and competent to enter into a binding contract with Slime Child, such as if you are not of legal age and/or have not obtained verifiable parental consent. In particular, through acceptance of this agreement, you affirm that you are over the age of 13 and acknowledge that the Product is not intended for children under 13.

3. Use

Unless expressly specified, the Product is licensed, not sold.

Provided you comply with the terms of this Agreement, the purchase of the Product by a user grants the user one license for the Product. A license grants use on all operating systems on all computers owned by the user, provided the primary user is the license holder. You are required to remove the Product prior to selling any systems on which it is installed. The purchaser of the Product may download the software as many times as necessary in the course of use.

Businesses, institutions, companies, and organizations must purchase a license for each user of the Product. You are licensed to use the Product on as many machines as a single user will use.

You must not remove or alter any copyright notices on any copy of the Product.

4. Distribution

You must not distribute or sell licenses or the Product or any components or resources originating from the Product without the express consent of Slime Child. Licenses are revoked if distributed or sold to third parties. This includes, but is not limited to, the distribution on magazine covers or software review websites. No license is granted to redistribute the software as part of another software program, including video games, DAWs, etc. This does not apply to any music, audio files, etc produced using the Product.

5. Warranties

By installing the Product, you agree to use it at your own risk. Slime Child cannot be held responsible for any damages caused as a result of its use.

THIS PRODUCT IS PROVIDED BY THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS AND CONTRIBUTORS "AS IS" AND ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE DISCLAIMED. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES; LOSS OF USE, DATA, OR PROFITS; OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) HOWEVER CAUSED AND ON ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE) ARISING IN ANY WAY OUT OF THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE

For information about Slime Child's data protection and collection practices, please refer to the Slime Child Audio Policies and Conditions (the "Privacy Policy"). You hereby agree to Slime Child's use of your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

6. Ownership

The Product is protected by Intellectual Property Rights. Except as expressly provided herein, Slime Child does not grant any express or implied rights to use the Product. All rights, title, and interest in the Product, in all languages, formats, and media, throughout the world, are and will continue to be the exclusive property of Slime Child. Nothing in the Agreement shall be construed to confer any license or right, by implication, estoppels or otherwise, under copyright or other intellectual property rights, to you or any third party.

You retain all rights over creative material produced using the Product in accordance with the Agreement.

7. Copyright

Slime Child owns the Product and all trade secrets, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights therein. The Product is protected by the copyright laws of the U.S. and other countries, and Slime Child retains all Intellectual Property Rights in the Product. You may not separately publish, sell, market, lease, rent, or sublicense the Product's code. However, this license is not to be construed as prohibiting or limiting any fair use sanctioned by copyright law, such as permitted library and classroom usage.
